Position Description:
Knowledge and skill in the performance of a wide range of operational accounting issues; including cost accounting, property accounting, reimbursement accounting and all other relevant areas within financial management. Supports routine or well established procedures and must comply with policies and procedures prescribed in the PWS to Generally Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP). Knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, techniques, policies, procedures, cost accounting elements, theories and the ability to apply them to theoretical and actual financial problems with versatility and judgment. Assist in completing accounting assignments and projects with scheduled deadlines, resolving problems and conflicts, and effectively communicating with customers on actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review.
Qualifications:
Degree in accounting or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that has 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. At least 1 year of specialized experience as an accountant.
Candidates must have a Secret Clearance with ability to obtain at Top Secret
